Our Mission is to provide a healthy protein staple to our greater community while providing the best quality of life possible for our herd.
About Us
Skaneateles Buffalo Farm is located at the south end of Skaneateles Lake in the heart of the Central New York Finger Lakes Region. Our Current herd is approximately 170 head.
What We Do
Our farming practices emphasize maintaining quality pasture for our animals to roam and graze on, which in turn provides an optimum quality of life and health for our herd. Our Buffalo receive grass all summer and hay all winter, and no antibiotics or hormones. They do love an occasional treat of apples! Buffalo/ Bison meat is naturally lean when grass fed and therefore a much healthier option than many grocery store choices.
